Today is LAUNCH DAY of my brand-spankin’-new website. This means that I have now put the URL in my email sig line, informed friends over at LJ and Facebook of this site’s existence, and put “World’s Greatest Writer Found Here” in my meta tags. Now I just need to get out of the way of the stampeding herd, right?
Kidding aside, I have a couple things to share with all you lovely people to celebrate my moving into my virtual home. First off, I put together an e-book of short stories for you to enjoy. Here Comes the Bride was my first published short story (way back in 2003) and I will always have a soft spot for it. The Most Beautiful Woman in the World, an experiment in present tense and fractured fairy tales, is making its public debut. I love feedback, so feel free to leave some.
Second, two of my stories were accepted for publication in rapid succession in June (pause for happy dancing). Details forthcoming as soon as I know them.
Thanks for stopping by!
YAY!!! Congratulations! You are *indeed* the world’s greatest writer. Let us know where the stories are published – and where we can read them. =)
It may take me a bit of putsing around in my “spare time” to explore the site, so feel free to update it periodically for people like me to come back and enjoy.
Yay!
Didn’t know the forum rules allowed such brialilnt posts.
Aw, thanks. π
Hey Rabia, you are a published author – congratulations!!! Quite impressive that you’re launching your web site while trying to expedite the arrival of the newest baby. What I really want to see is some recent pics of you.
My publishing successes have been quite modest at this point, but I’m happy to have some work “in print”. And yes, I am a bit crazy to be launching a website while waiting around for the new baby, but there you go.
As for pics, well there aren’t all that many of me and D. because we are too busy taking pictures of our two kiddos! That will probably change when my sister-in-law comes to visit… she’s a super-good photographer and wants to do a session with us. π
“super-good”??? that’s a new one. π we will come away from our weekend with at least one picture of just lovely YOU YOU YOU to put up on here. break out the dressing gown and pipe. it will be a challenge to squeeze it in with all the sweet baby pictures but i assure you we will manage.
so enjoyed rereading “here comes the bride” and getting to read “the most beautiful woman” too. thank you for sharing them both!!!
Thanks, Robin! We’re looking forward to having you here–and not just in photographer capacity. π
