I was at Joann’s yesterday, looking for something to embellish my ATCs for the upcoming swap and ran across a pad of this absolutely glorious fairy tale-themed paper. It’s thick card stock, glittery, textured, visually stunning and I kept coming back to it to admire and touch and soak up. Oh, how I coveted that paper (and yes, still covet it!), but I have no idea what to do with it besides keep it by my bed so I can stare at it with eyes of pretty-paper-love whenever I wanted to.
But since I have a strongly practical bent, I used my 40% off coupon on alphabet stamps (*siiiiigh*) and left the fairy tale stack behind (*siiiigh*).
If you had this lovely paper (and remember it is quite thick), what would you do with it? Help me justify putting this in my shopping cart next time!
One of the things I did with my Luxury Paper Stack was make all these gorgeous cards for everybody I love with vellum and cutouts from some loose sheets I bought (like the butterfly and music notes). I’m making an anniversary card for my grandparents (TODAY!, but card tomorrow). I did a going away card for a coworker that was leaving and a thank you card for my friend and team lead.
I made my ATC. I made envelopes. I LOVE scrapbooking, so I might take a wee bit of time for that. I’ve wrapped presents if the paper is the right foldable texture and pretty enough. I framed one lovely sheet and stuck it on the wall. I’ve typed poetry on them for gifts. Lovely, lovely paper. I love it almost as much as I love words! 🙂
Ohh, cards! I’ve gotten out of the habit of giving cards as a rebellion against Hallmark-led commercialism. But if I make some…. 😀
I’m not a scrapbooker, but maybe I could use them for a fairy tale inspired art journal? Ohhh, the possibilities. 🙂
Miss M.’s birthday is coming up and she LOVES princesses. Maybe I can get the paper and do something with it for her birthday.
