I finally finally(!!) finished scene 60, the Scene From Verbiage River. Three more scenes to go. So… close… to… finish line.
I have my last three FO cards fanned out in front of me. They look so small, and few, and doable.
Unfortunately, they are all red and they brightly tell me what to do but not how to do it. The scene descriptions are along the lines of “Break into Castle of Doom (dum dum dum!), steal Device of Great Power (da da da!), rescue Princess (*trumpets blare*) and escape intact”.
And, er, how exactly is Hero supposed to do all this with just a pocket knife and a piece of twine, again?
That’s what I have to figure out.
How’s your writing going?
I finally wrangled more than just a couple sentences out of my narrator in a single go, but I’m still under 200 words TOTAL. :headdesk:
Congrats on your awesome progress! There is hope in this world of writing. 😉
I’m rather stalled out right now. 😛 Still hoping to be done by the next sunday progress update.
The easiest way to get into a castle is through the front gate. Make the hero lie or create a distraction to get the guards to leave and slip right in. You are on your own for stealing the device, because you set up the security in the story. 🙂
As for rescuing the princess, he has to find her first, kill guards, steal key to unlock door, and convince her to follow him out, or use the device of great power to find her, release her, and get the hell out of town! 🙂
Good luck with the scenes.
Yep, got into enemy encampment through deception. Managed to get out, too, with all princesses and magical devices accounted for. 😉
And it’s still not the end of the story! 😛
First day of read-through: Check!
Second day: …um, that would be today. Better get busy.
Heh. 😀
When do I get this for beta-reading? You’re not going to post chapters on OWW first, are you? Or else I shall feel slighted and would need to put on my poutiest lips.
*practice pout*
September 1st is the date I’m aiming for to send to betas. I did put the first few chapters through the shop but have no plans to do the rest. I prefer to rely on my trusty, trusted betas. 😀
So put that pout away. 😛
Aw, and I was doing such a good job with it, too!
I’ll save it to use on D. some day. 😀
