Or, better, you can go straight to the tool itself.

Any chance of doing this in the future to be set up for any dates? I’m itching to use this tool to set my regular word count goals.

Yes, I’m planning on expanding it to handle multiple concurrent “challenges” (that’s why you had to pick one when you first logged in, even though there was only one to choose from), and that could easily handle user-created targets. I figured NaNo would be a good opportunity to find and fix all of the rough spots, before working on the next step. πŸ™‚

Rabia that’s a handsome young man. Is he yours?

This looks like a cool thing. Will it work with Mac?

Would you believe I’m getting nervous about NaNo–a gonzo nonsense exercise in high-velocity mediocrity? Argh. Perfect: you can stomp on it, but you can’t kill it.

It should work on pretty much any computer out there (though I don’t have a Mac of my own to test with). The charts require Flash, but that’s it. I was able to work with the calendar on my friend’s iPad, so the core of it, at least, is functional. If you run into any issues, please don’t hesitate to let me know–I’ll see what I can do to fix anything that pops up.

I love the energy of NaNo–as an onlooker. I just don’t think it’s the right season of life for me to do it. Maybe when the kids are older… out of the house… and I have a cleaning service… and only an hour of Internet every day…

Yes, David’s my husband. *giggles* at hearing him described as a young man since I’ve been pointing out his gray hairs for a couple of months. I suppose it’s all relative, huh?
