* crocuses in bloom
* lilies, irises and tulips sending up their shoots
* strawberry plants put out their leaves and vigorously (re)taking over their bed
*Β buds on the willow and the lilacs
* exchanging winter coats for fleeces and rain jackets
* lots of planning for *next* year’s school (which is, of course, much more interesting than what we’re doing right now)
How’s the change of the seasons where you are?
Spring arrived and right now we’ve got warm air coming up from the south so summer is here! And for Easter! Glorious sunshine after a long, cold, flu-filled winter.
A bit of Shakespeare popped into my mind yesterday. “Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this son of York.” It’s one of his many plays on words that I’d not noticed before π
I get it. son = sun π
I’d love summer to come early but we’re still in changeable spring weather here, full of rains, storms, the occasional flakes of snow…
