At Linda Adams’ blog, I’m talking about The Lone Woman: gender imbalance in the action/adventure genre.

Kris Rusch’s post on writing like it’s 2009 talks about what it takes to build a writing career today. My takeaway: focus on production and quality, get my stories in front of readers, and be in it for the long haul.

Rainbird is now on sale for $1.99–up till the end of January! And look, I even made a graphic:
Yes, I’m ludicrously excited about making this all by my lonesome. I have a tendency to go all deer-in-the-headlights when confronted by any sort of graphics program ever since a horrendous experience with Photoshop in college. Photoshop Elements is a LOT easier to deal with.

Do you have any sales or new/upcoming releases? Tell us about them in the comments!
You wrote the post I was thinking about: recs, recs, and writerly recs. Ah, I’m happier to just link here. (Which I will do by end of tomorrow. :grins: )
Love the graphic. I hate Photoshop and Corel Photopaint after it started emulating the nonintuitive functionality. I use the ‘outdated’ Corel Photopaint 7 and what do you know? I can still make graphics as well as if I was on newer software and in a third of the time or less because it simply takes fewer clicks to accomplish anything.
As for new stuff coming out, I’m preparing to load a bunch of fiction and poetry into a members section of my website and start doing monthly ficlet o’clocks or fishbowls. Maybe that. I’ve got a bunch of stories to write already. And… I’m going to get into print. I’m just not having fun with the templates and the fact that mass market paperback isn’t even an option at Createspace. That bothers me because I prefer mass market. Working on it.
I’m looking forward to your new stuff!
Oh SO pretty. Go Rainbird! Well done you! đŸ™‚
Thanks. *beams in triumph*
