“It’s a series that’s set in Victorian London. It features dark, foggy streets, an eccentric speech therapist, and a mute dyslexic. There’s also a rotten villain, adorable dog, and kindly Mrs. Potts-like housekeeper. Did I also mention a dash of romance, violence, and Sherlock Holmes?”

“This is a long book, but I still wanted more! The world building is great – half from Sasha’s POV, a substitute Kindergarten teacher in a cozy small town present day and half from Lorn’s POV, the sorcerer ruler of a rough and tumble fantasy world. There are great relationships, interesting characters and funny situations and dialogue.”

“The Glass Gargoyle by Maria Andreas is full of humor, romance, some great sarcasm, chock full of mythical beings going about their day and a kick ass heroine who doesn’t want to be involved in the world changing adventure but gets dragged along anyway. And it has elves!”

“The MBRC series shows mythical beings flying under the radar in the modern day world. Dragons doing paperwork, cyclopes in a business suit, wolves get fleas and a vampire who faints at the sight of blood. It makes me laugh out loud every time and that’s not forgetting the healthy dash of romance.”

“Sweet coming of age romance, first of a trilogy but can absolutely be read as a standalone. I loved the characters, the kingdom setting and the imposter trope.”
